Booktube-A-Thon 2017

The Booktube-A-Thon is an annual, weekly reading challenge developed by Booktuber Ariel Bissett. It’s a readathon with the goal of bringing together the Booktube/bookish community and encouraging everyone to simply read as much as they can for a week. Although I don’t have a Booktube channel (maybe one day?), I’m an avid Booktube viewer.

The 2017 Booktube-A-Thon runs from July 24th- July 30th. There are seven challenges that you can choose to complete or not, as well as giveaways, twitter sprints, and lots of bookish content. You can participate on Booktube, Twitter, and/or Instagram.

I’ve been excited to join in on all the Booktube-A-Thon fun this year. I don’t think I’ll get as much read as I had initially hoped- I’m still grieving the loss of my beloved fifteen-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, while also being kept pretty busy with a new JRT puppy-  but I decided to make my TBR anyways. Hopefully I can complete some of the challenges and finish a few books! I’m four books behind on my Goodreads challenge, and way behind on my #20booksofsummer reading, so any bit of progress will be a success.

The 2017 Challenges are:

1/ Read a book with a person on the cover.
2/ Read a hyped book.
3/ Finish a book in one day.
4/ Read about a character that is very different from you.
5/ Finish a book completely outdoors.
6/ Read a book you bought because of the cover.
7/ Read seven books.

My Booktube-A-Thon TBR:

-Three Guineas: Challenges 3, 5

-Sofia Khan is Not Obliged: Challenges 1, 4

-The Essex Serpent: Challenges 2, 6

-The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue: Challenges 1, 4

Note that I’m not even going to attempt to read seven books. I’ll be happy if I even finish two!

Will you be participating in this year’s Booktube-A-Thon?
