WWW Wednesdays- November 1, 2017

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

The three W’s are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

I’m only a few pages into If We Were Villains by M. L. Rio, and I’m really excited about this one. I’m also enjoying Margaret Oliphant’s Miss Majoribanks, even if it is a bit slow-going for me. Technically, I’m also reading Voyager by Diana Gabaldon although I didn’t pick it up at all last month-eek!

Recently Finished:

Yesterday, I finished the highly-entertaining Victorian “sensation” novel Lady Audley’s Secret by Mary Elizabeth Braddon. I was so sad to finish Sarah Perry’s stunning novel The Essex Serpent earlier this week. I think I’m even suffering a bit of a book hangover from it!

Reading Next:

I had hoped to get to Murder on the Orient Express in October, but since that didn’t happen I’m planning to pick it up this weekend. I’ll probably start my #NonfictionNovember reading with my eARC of A Secret Sisterhood: The Literary Friendships of Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, George Eliot, and Virginia Woolf. If I’m in the right mood, I may even try to squeeze in Greensleeves by Eloise Jarvis McGraw for the 1968 club.

What have you been reading lately?

  1. You have some really interesting books here! I recently won a copy of If We Were Villains so I’ll be really interested to hear what you make of it. I have The Essex Serpent on my Kindle to read and I’m sure we’re not the only people planning to read Murder on the Orient Express before seeing the film!
