  1. Great list! I loved Madeline when I was little and Frances Hodgson Burnett is one of my favourites – I actually enjoyed The Secret Garden more than A Little Princess, but I adore the ’90s film adaptation of A Little Princess. I keep hearing good things about The Witch of Blackbird Pond, so I might have to check it out. =)
