I didn’t get as much reading done as I had hoped during the Thanksgiving Readathon, but I really enjoyed the books I did read.
I finished Doomsday Book by Connie Willis (445 pages), and loved every minute of it. I also read about half of the delightful Snowdrift and Other Stories by Georgette Heyer.
My cold struck with a vengeance and there were plenty of times I didn’t feel up for much besides watching Christmas movies with my mom. I obviously didn’t complete my goal of finishing two books, but I’m pretty happy with my progress all things considered. Maybe I’ll have better luck with next year’s Thanksgiving Readathon.
Did you participate in the #ThanksgivingReadathon? What did you read over the holiday?
Sorry you had a cold for the readathon! That’s no fun. But you still read more pages than I did it looks like. Great job!

Hope you’re feeling better now Jessie! 2 books is still a very good result, especially since you weren’t feeling well. The cover of Snowdrift looks perfect for the season – did the short stories have a Christmas-y feel to them?

Thanks Ottavia- I’m feeling mostly better. I’ve only made it halfway through Snowdrift, but so far only one story has a wintry feel. I think the cover and title is a bit misleading in that respect, but otherwise the collection is delightful.
