Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality all about sharing the books we are adding to our shelves, whether physical or virtual.
My Book Outlet Black Friday haul arrived this week!
I got two Rosamunde Pilcher novels: September and Winter Solstice. I haven’t actually read anything by Pilcher yet, but I think I’m going to really enjoy her books. They seem like perfect comfort reading. I plan to read Winter Solstice sometime this winter.
I also ordered Beyond the Wild River by Sarah Maine. I enjoyed her first novel The House Between Tides (reviewed here), and couldn’t resist this one-especially since it was less than $2.
And last but not least, I got Ali Smith’s How To Be Both, which I’ve been wanting to read for ages.
A pretty great book haul if I say so myself! Book Outlet for the win.
What book(s) have you added to your shelves this week?
I’m reading, Coming Home by Rosamunde Pilcher, right now. I’ve also read September. My favorite book by her is, The Shell Seekers. I haven’t read Winter Solstice, but I probably will read it in January. 🙂

Coming Home is actually the Pilcher novel I’m most excited about reading. Winter Solstice should make for perfect seasonal reading-I hope we both enjoy it!

I haven’t yet read the one Rosamunde Pilcher book I have on my TBR shelf. Hopefully you will get to your two sooner than it’s taken me to get to mine. 🙂 The two you got sound good, as do your other books! I hope you enjoy them all. Have a great weekend!

I enjoyed Winter Solstice and September but my favorite Rosamunde Pilcher is Coming Home. She is a great author for winter reading. You can just sink into her novels.

I have a feeling Coming Home is going to be my favorite of hers too! I love a good coming-of-age novel as well as books set in England during WWII.

I love the cover for Winter Solstice…and I bet it’d be a good read for my 12 Books of Christmas Challenge this year. I may just have to get a copy of it.
Have a great weekend.

Have you read both of her novels? I thought The House Between Tides was a very atmospheric read, and hope Beyond the Wild River will be equally as enjoyable.
