Here’s some of what I’ve been browsing on the Internet this week:
-I need to catch up on Alias Grace soon. I absolutely loved the book, but so far I’ve only watched the first episode of the Netflix adaptation. The History Girls take a look at the enigmatic Grace Marks who inspired Atwood’s novel.
-I have to admit that this week’s royal engagement announcement was a nice break from the usual awfulness that is the news. I also love how excited the Fug Girls are.
–The Silver Petticoat Review has rounded up all the British shows that will be premiering over the holiday season. I’m especially excited for the adaptation of The Miniaturist and Miranda Hart’s Christmas Special!!
-Refinery29 has created a helpful and inclusive Gender Nation Glossary-something we should all bookmark to consult as needed.
-The Cut takes us behind-the-scenes for the creation of Bergdorf Goodman’s Holiday Windows.
What have you been reading on the Internet lately?
I enjoyed the Netflix adaptation of Alias Grace- I watched it about a week ago, so it’s fresh in my mind! The book is less fresh because I read it several years ago, but I feel like it was a well done adaptation that kept the right level of ambiguity. It was a little slow at times, but enjoyable.

I enjoyed the first episode, and I’m very glad to hear it keeps the ambiguity of the novel. I’ll have to finish watching soon!
