What bookish settings would you love to visit?
Great choices! The only problem with Chatsworth is that I’d spend all my time hoping that Darcy would appear from the lake… 😉

Same here!! That’s why I listed Pemberley instead of real-life Chatsworth, since the former means I could bump into Darcy while the latter does not.

Your list and mine have a few places in common. Great minds think alike, I suppose!

I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend some time with the Mortmains at their lovely castle?!

Pemberley is such a beautiful setting. And Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite classics of all time. I love the meadow wondering and beautiful landscapes. The movie did a great job of showing that too. Overall, a very well done combo!!
Oh, what I’d give to be able to attend one of Gatsby’s lush parties during the roaring 20s. Definitely another great pick. Basically, all of the Jane Austen book settings you mentioned are my faves, and the only thing I really ended up loving about I Capture the Castle was the odd castle. The book’s plot and characters were a bit weird to me. Fabulous post!

I agree that the locations and cinematography used in the 2005 P&P are beyond stunning. And I would also love to attend a Gatsby party for a night and step into any Austen novel for a day or two. At least we can experience literary armchair travel!!

I live in Scotland, would definitely recommend as a holiday spot, only problem is, it’s super cold!
