Here’s some of what I’ve been reading on the Internet this week:
-I loved this from Shondaland: The Year When Women Stopped Being ‘Nice.’ #NastyWomenUnite
-Ten years later, Keira Knightley’s vivid green dress from Atonement is still one of my favorite fashion moments ever-in film or IRL. EW recently talked to the film’s costume designer Jacqueline Durran, about the creation of the iconic dress and its lasting appeal.
-The classic song “Baby, its Cold Outside” is one of my problematic faves this time of year. This Buzzfeed article addresses the issues with the lyrics and also offers historical context that makes the song slightly less predatory. (Note: I especially love the She & Him version that flips the sexes. You can listen to it and some of my other Festive Favorites Here.)
-I’m completely obsessed with Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (from the writers of Gilmore Girls). The acting, dialogue, costumes, and sets are all perfection. Apartment Therapy has also gushed over the show’s fantastic Mid-Century Style.
-In honor of this weekend’s snowfall: The Man Who Revealed the Hidden Structure of Falling Snowflakes (via Smithsonian).
What have you been reading on the Internet lately?
I really want to check out The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel but I don’t have Amazon Prime. Maybe I’ll watch the first episode and decide to invest if I like it.

Since we seem to have similar tastes in shows/books I think you’ll enjoy the series too. You should definitely check out the pilot at least, and you could always sign up for the 30 day prime trial to watch the rest of the season.

True, that’s probably what I’ll end up doing.
