February is fast approaching, which means it’s almost time for the Persephone Readathon! I’m so excited to be hosting this event that focuses on one of my favorite publishers: Persephone Books.
The Persephone Readathon will run from Thursday, February 1st through Sunday, February 11th. The goal is simply to read, review, and discuss Persephone books. (You can view the Persephone booklist here)
(And here’s a list of Persephone Books available as eBooks, including several in the Public Domain which are free to download.)
**Make sure to follow along and share on social media using #PersephoneReadathon throughout the event**
Sign up with the button below if you will be joining me for the Persephone Readathon. Share your TBR if you’d like as well!
You can sign up at any point during the readathon.
I have two Persephone’s on my shelf! I have never read one. I think I’ll join in, Jessie!

Would love to have you join, Peggy! I’m a bit jealous you have your first Persephone to look forward to. Which two do you own?

I haven’t, but I do own a copy of A Far Cry. I may pick it up during the readathon too.

I read my first Persephone a few months ago and loved it. I wish I had more! But I will follow along and make a good list. 🙂

That’s one I want to read sooner rather than later. Social activism, feminism, tea shops, and an intro by Samantha Ellis are all right up my alley. Happy to hear you enjoyed it!!

Count me in!! Will help with my plan to read more Persephone books from my bookshelves this year! 🙂

Yay, happy to hear it! I’m hoping the readathon will help me do the same!

Would love to join in – by co-incidence I’ve just gathered all my Viragos and Persephones and stacked them neatly on the shelves, in alphabetical order, so now I can actually find the books I want! By the way, do I sign up now, or when I publish my first post?

Lovely to have you! That is a very lucky coincidence indeed! You’re welcome to sign up now and link to a sign up post/TBR or simply to your blog, OR you can wait until you publish your first post during the readathon. I look forward to seeing which Persephone(s) you choose to read!

Hello.
I’d love to join in the readathon. Is there a way to sign up as I don’t have a blog or Instagram and I no longer use twitter.

Welcome, Nicola! I’ve been thinking about your question, and am drawing a bit of a blank. I know of one person who linked to their comments on the LibraryThing Persephone Group, so you could do the same there or on Goodreads if you use either of those platforms. If you don’t have anywhere to link up to, don’t worry about it; you are still more than welcome to participate!! (I’ll consider this comment as your sign up.) Whenever you feel like joining in, just leave your comments/reviews etc. on any of the Persephone Readathon posts!

I’m also keen to join… but am not on Instagram or Twitter and don’t blog; so I hope leaving a comment counts!
