In My America, I Believe…

I’m re-posting this from last Fourth of July with a few new additions.

This is the country I’m celebrating today, the future I’m fighting for, and the ideals I will always champion. We’ve been knocked down, but we will not be dragged backwards.

In my America, I believe:

Women’s Rights Are Human Rights

Black Lives Matter

Love is Love is Love is Love

Science is Real

No Human is Illegal

Protesting and Resisting are Patriotic

Diversity Should be Celebrated

Women are in Control of Their Own Bodies

Families Belong Together, Families Belong Free

Facts are Important and Words Matter

Healthcare is a Right Not a Privilege

Freedom of the Press and Voting Rights Should be Protected

Kindness is Everything, but Standing Up for the Marginalized is More Important Than Civility
