    1. Funny you should choose Excellent Women- I actually started it a few months ago but then put it down for some reason. I was enjoying the first few chapters, and even if it’s not chosen, I’ll definitely be picking it up again very soon. Hope you’ll enjoy it when you read it too!

  1. Hmm. I dont know which one I’d like to see you read. They’re all good books. Maybe Rebecca or To Kill a Mockingbird (it’s on my list too). I just put my list together and I’m going back through because most of them are tomes. I wrote down the first ones that came to mind. The Iliad, Three Musketeers, Anna Karenina, etc. Not sure I’m really on the mood for another tome right now.

    1. I wouldn’t mind a re-read of Rebecca or To Kill a Mockingbird this summer! I feel ya about the tomes; I tried not to include many on this spin list. Look forward to seeing your final choices!

    1. I’ve been wanting to read Brideshead for years now! If it’s not chosen in the spin pick, I still plan to pick it up this fall. Glad to hear you loved it so much!

      1. Re-reads are totally allowed as part of the Classics Club list, the goal is just to read and enjoy more classics. From this spin list, Rebecca, Mansfield Park, Evelina, and To Kill a Mockingbird would be re-reads for me. There are a few more re-reads on my CC master list, although the vast majority are books that are new to me.

  2. Westwood is on my list as well! Maybe we should do a readalong! And if you don’t get it, I hope you get either Love in a Cold Climate or Excellent Women, both of which are charming reads.

  3. What a great list! I read The Crowded Street earlier this year and loved it, but there are lots of other books on your list that I’ve either read and enjoyed or am interested in reading too. Good luck. 🙂

    1. Thanks! I think it’s about time I made the acquaintance of Wodehouse, so I’d love to read Right Ho, Jeeves soon. Even if MP isn’t picked, I plan to re-read it in August/September.

    1. Thanks, Christina! Glad to hear you enjoyed Excellent Women and Jeeves. It’s been a while since I read Evelina and I’d love to revisit it soon.

    1. Thank you, and thanks for hosting the spin! I would be happy with almost any of these, but I guess I’m hoping that a book I haven’t read gets picked as opposed to one of the re-reads.

    1. Thanks, Juliana! I’m way overdue on a re-read of Rebecca and can’t wait to read Excellent Women and A Lost Lady, so I’d be very happy with any of those.

  4. There’s so many good books on here! Love in a Cold Climate, The Portrait of a Lady, Brideshead Revisited and P.G. Wodehouse’s novels are all some of my absolute favourites. I would love to see you read Night and Day, because it’s a book I really enjoyed but I don’t know anyone else who has read it!

    1. I’d be thrilled with any of those picks; they are some of the titles I’m most looking forward to reading. And I agree about Night and Day. I never see/hear anyone talking about it.

    1. Thanks, Brona! I completely agree about always recommending Austen’s novels. Even if Mansfield Park doesn’t get chosen, I’m hoping to re-read it in August/September; it’s been way too long. Thanks for hosting the spin!

  5. Oooh, I just want to see you read all of these! haha. This is such a terrific list. When it comes to classics, I feel like you can’t go wrong a lot of the time. Love this and can’t wait to see which one gets chosen.

  6. Oh, what a lovely list! I love Mansfield Park–I have the annotated edition, but I’ll probably put it off for a while, as a treat. Montgomery is always good (though, I confess I can’t really remember the Emily books), and Wodehouse is always fun, so I hope you get one of those. Though really, if it were my list I think I’d be happy with any of them. Happy reading!

    1. Thanks, Amanda! I’d be very happy with the Wodehouse, Emily of New Moon, or a re-read of MP. Hope you’ll enjoy the annotated MP when you get to it!

      1. She is not as well-known as Anne, and her story is very different, but better developed, I think. Would love your ‘take’ on it, anyway!

  7. Ambitious! I wonder which # they’ll choose…
We just had the full set of “Emily” Readalong on instagram for 3 months which was great.

As it’s #AusteninAugust reading month, mine will be a Jane Austen 😉
Thanks for visiting me at FHC !

  8. Great spin list. I really enjoyed Pam’s Excellent Women last month. You have some good ones on your list and although I don’t have it on my list but added it to my TBR, To the Lighthouse so I can give Woolf’ another try. 😊
