Welcome to the second round of the Persephone Readathon!
I hope you are as excited as I am to read, review, and chat about Persephone Books over the next ten days.

A few reminders:
-The readathon runs from Friday, September 21st through Sunday, September 30th.
–Don’t forget to sign up here. You can link to a sign-up/TBR post, to your blog homepage, or to your Instagram or Twitter accounts. (If you have an issue with the link up, you can leave your link in the comments section of the sign-up post instead.) You can still sign up at any point during the readathon!
– Share your readathon experience and follow along with #PersephoneReadathon.
-If you have past Persephone reviews/posts that you’d like to repost during the readathon, feel free to do so!

What to expect:
– There will be an open post for each two-day period of the readathon (i.e. Days 2-3, Days 4-5 etc) plus a final one for Day 10. The point of these posts is to provide a central place to link to blog/social media posts, share completed challenges, discuss reading plans and progress, and to chat about all things Persephone Books.
-Each open post will also include a discussion question/prompt to help kickstart some fun Persephone chats in the comments section.
-You can find the list of ten optional challenges here. Feel free to share any of your responses on your blog, on social media, and/or in the comments section of the open posts.

Dwell in Possibility 
I’m hoping to finish at least two Persephones: Alas, Poor Lady and either Tory Heaven or The Journey Home and Other Stories. Maybe all three as the last two are very short.

I would love to take part in this but unfortunately all my Persephones are at home! Thinking I might pay a visit to the bookshop though 😊 and I’m most excited to read London War Notes!

I’m planning to read Patience. Of my stack, I’m most excited to read Patience and London War Notes (long as it is!)

Hope you enjoy Patience! I have London War Notes waiting on my shelf and can’t wait to read it as well. It’s a tome, but it sounds phenomenal.

I’m most looking forward to reading Harriet by Elizabeth Jenkins during the readathon, and High Wages by Dorothy Whipple in general. Harriet sounds gripping and unsettling (plus it’s true crime); while the turn of the century time period and focus on fashion/shopping/women’s independence in High Wages sounds right up my alley.

Well for this readathon I’m reading Saplings by Noel Streatfield. In general, I want to read some of the titles by Dorothy Whipple and Monica Dickens. Hopefully one of those will be my next Persephone title.
