  1. What a very cool image! I’ll have to look up this artist. I like this one almost as much as the Canova you used last week. I noticed the Dali “lobster telephone”. Do you like surreal art and, if so, have you seen Meret Oppenheim’s fur lined tea cup? I have to admit that one makes me a little queasy, which would delight the surrealists, who just loved getting an emotional reaction!

    1. Apologies for taking so long to reply! I’m so glad you enjoyed this (and the Canova too). From what I can tell, Mela Koehler was an illustrator and it looks like the MFA has a lot of her works in their collection: https://www.mfa.org/collections/search?f%5B0%5D=field_artists%253Afield_artist%3A32567

I do like a lot of Surrealist works, or at the very least I usually find them interesting or sometimes even just interestingly shocking. I have actually had the chance to see Oppenheim’s fur lined tea cup in person (and I also used it as a previous Wordless Wednesday too). I loved it, but I definitely understand where you’re coming from! And you’re spot on about the surrealists loving yours and others strong visceral reactions! Thanks for commenting!
