Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme created by The Broke and the Bookish blog, and now hosted at That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week’s topic is: Books on my Spring 2019 TBR
Happy (almost) spring!* I’m so excited to usher in the new season, along with new books and new reading plans. Here are ten of the books I’m most looking forward to:
Upcoming Releases:
Spring by Ali Smith
The Confessions of Frannie Langton by Sara Collins
The Five: The Lives of Jack the Ripper’s Women by Hallie Rubenhold
New/New to Me Books:
Normal People by Sally Rooney
Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden
Books That Have Been Languishing On My Shelves For Too Long:
Westwood by Stella Gibbons
Swing Time by Zadie Smith
The Priory by Dorothy Whipple
The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty
Have you read any of these? Are any on your Spring TBR too? What book(s) are you most excited to read this spring?
*To all my Northern Hemisphere readers that is. Happy (almost) autumn to all of you in the Southern Hemisphere!
I’m reading Daisy Jones at the minute and it’s very enjoyable.

Swing Time is fantastic, my favourite Zadie Smith so far. I’m also very keen to read Daisy Jones and the Six!

You’re the second person I’ve seen mention Ali Smith’s “Spring” this week. I’m growing intrigued by it by the minute.

Ah, I’m not surprised; I think it’s going to be very popular over the next few months! If you haven’t already read them, I’d highly recommend both Autumn and Winter too. The books are all part of her seasonal quartet, but can be read separately.

I’ll do that. Thanks. 🙂

Great list! Daisy Jones and the Six made my TTT as well. I just finished The Girl in the Tower, which was very enjoyable.

Thanks, Fran! Daisy Jones & the Six really seems like the perfect spring/summer read, so hopefully we’ll both enjoy it. That’s good to hear about The Girl in the Tower! I really enjoyed the first book and can’t wait for my copy of the second to arrive. I may have to track down The Winter of the Witch sooner rather than later too…

Good list. I really liked Swing Time (and reviewed it) and enjoyed Chaperone and reviewed it on my old blog.

Thank you! Very glad to hear you enjoyed both Swing Time and The Chaperone. I definitely want to get to the latter before the film comes out!

There are almost too many excellent-sounding releases this year! Although, I guess that’s a good problem to have?! Happy to hear that Daisy Jones and Frannie are both on your TBR too. Hopefully we’ll both enjoy them (and get to them soon)!

I really enjoyed The Girl in the Tower, and carried straight on with The Winter of the Witch. The whole trilogy has been such a good read. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I fancy reading Daisy Jones too, although I just bought The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by the same author, so might try that one first.
Happy reading 🙂

Thank you! My copy of The Girl in the Tower just arrived and I can’t wait to get stuck into it. I have a feeling I’ll want to continue on with The Winter of the Witch straight afterward too! I also have a copy of Evelyn Hugo waiting to be read, but I think I’ll probably pick up Daisy first. Hopefully we’ll each enjoy both novels. Happy spring reading!
