I was waiting for this week’s “Wordless Wednesday,” which I regard as my special little treat1 I must admit, I’m a bit resistant to those late 19th/early 20th century American Impressionist types but I REALLY like this one. Have you see Manet’s much earlier “Music in the Tuileries Gardens”? Without being really alike, the two remind me very much of each other. Can’t wait until next week to see what you come up with!

    1. Ooh, that’s an excellent catch about Manet’s Music in the Tuileries Garden! The two definitely make for an interesting comparison. So glad you enjoyed this painting and are a fan of the Wordless Wednesday series as a whole. I always have fun choosing which works of art to feature each week.
