Persephone Readathon #3 Flush Readalong Discussion Post: Chapters 4-6

Here is a place for anyone participating in the readalong* of Flush by Virginia Woolf to discuss the final three chapters. You can see the post for chapters 1-3 here.  (ICYMI, you can download a free eBook version here.)

I’ve posted a few questions/prompts to get things started, but feel free to chat about whatever springs to mind.

*Or anyone who has previously read the book and want’s to join in

I’ll try to update this list as I get further into the reading myself. Hope you’re enjoying/or have enjoyed the readalong!

Persephone Readathon #3 Readalong: Final Voting Round

I thought it would be fun to offer an optional readalong during this Persephone Readathon. Would you like to read and discuss the same Persephone book together over the course of the ten days?

The results from the first round of voting are in, and the two books that made the cut are: No Surrender by Constance Maud and Flush by Virginia Woolf.

I want this to be open to anyone who’d like to participate, so both Persephone titles are available as free eBooks. Take a look at their descriptions below, and vote for the one you would most like to read (or even just see the rest of us read) through the link at the bottom of the page.

You have until Tuesday, May 28th to vote. I’ll then announce the winner and provide the eBook links on Wednesday, May 29th.

Bout of Books #25 Sign-Up and Reading Plans

I’m hoping I can read up a storm this week during Bout of Books #25.

What is Bout of Books?

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, Twitter chats, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 25 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

Here are my goals and reading plans:

A Persephone Readathon #3 Readalong?

I thought it would be fun to offer an optional readalong during this Persephone Readathon. Would you like to read and discuss the same Persephone book together over the course of the ten days?

I want this to be open to anyone who’d like to participate, so I’ve selected four Persephone titles that are available as free eBooks for you all to choose from. Take a look at their descriptions below, and vote for the one you would most like to read (or even just see the rest of us read) through the link at the bottom of the page.

I’ll leave the link for round one active until Sunday, May 19th. Whichever two books receive the most votes will then go head to head in the final voting round.
