  1. Fabulous blue–incredibly intense! My first thought–this is someone’s blue version of Kaspar Malevich but I actually think not (after looking at “White on White” again). Is the artist just going for blue? Have you seen the painting in the flesh, so to speak and, if so, does the color have that kind of hovering in space quality that you can see in Rothko?
